We all know how difficult is sometimes to get what we need for our children and family members. What we have found out over the years is that 'parents know best', the best advice invariably comes from those who live with disability on a daily basis.
Please feel free to e-mail this web-site for friendly, informal advice; if you have any problems regarding disability, whether you need to know who to contact for advice on school statements, disability benefits, medical equipment, home adaptations, legal issues, or just need help contacting the right people to help you, then feel free to e-mail us by hitting the contact us button or on our community pages.
If we can't help, then we probably know someone who can, or someone else who visits our site might well do. There are organisations out there to help us, if only we were told where to look. We aim to build a list of those organisations that are there to help you, and tell how you can get in touch with them.
We are planning to build a large community notice board and an advice page, so that parents can go onto it and ask other parents for help, advice or sometimes just get some much needed support.
Sometimes you just want someone who understands to listen to you. We know as well as anyone, that being a parent of a special needs child can be very isolating. Add to that, the feeling that there is some sort of conspiracy in place to stop us getting what we need from the government, the council and the education system, life can get quite stressful.
So join our community, let other parents help you, and in turn you can help them, we can guarantee there are things you know that can help another family. You don't need to feel alone, there are plenty of us who have been through or are going through what you are.
If you haven't done so already, click on the user item in the menu and register, you can then submit news and ideas and we'll make sure you get any updates as they happen.
If you want to send us pictures of your child wearing our t-shirts, then we can post some on the community gallery we are planning to have on the web site. Our models so far love seeing themselves on the site, so perhaps your child would like that too.
We would love to know the reaction that you and your children have had whilst wearing the t-shirts too, after all, that is the most important thing.
